Transaction Terms

The full wording of the agreements a SphereUs℠ arrangement is made on. The version shown beside each one is stamped onto the transaction when it is agreed, so a deal can always be read back against the exact terms in force when it was struck.

Marketplace transactions

Version 2026-10-16

Services, items and rentals between two SphereUs℠ members, including a DirectRequest℠.

SphereUs℠ provides the marketplace where this arrangement was made. It is not a party to it, does not take custody of the item or the work, and does not arbitrate disputes; the two members named on this transaction are the only parties to it. The figure, the unit it is priced in, the dates and the description recorded here are the terms both members agreed to, and anything discussed outside this record is not part of the agreement. Payment is handled exactly as this checkout states: where the transaction is paid through SphereUs, the funds are processed by SphereUs's payment provider and released on the terms shown here, and where the two members settle directly, SphereUs never handles the money. Either member may cancel before the work, delivery or rental period begins; once it has begun, the other member must be told and any refund is settled on the terms shown at checkout. Content stays with the member who wrote or uploaded it, and neither member may use the other's words, photographs or listing copy as their own. A problem is raised through SphereUs Support, which records what was agreed and may restrict an account, but does not act as an arbiter.

SUN Youth℠ gigs

Version 2026-10-16

A gig performed by a student, approved by their guardian, for an employer.

The guardian named on this gig contracts on behalf of the student and gives this approval for them; the student is the worker, not a party who can be bound by this agreement. SphereUs℠ provides the marketplace where the arrangement was made. It is not a party to it, does not take custody of the work or the payment, and does not arbitrate disputes; the two parties bound by this gig are the guardian and the employer named on it. The work, the hours, the amount and the date recorded here are what both sides agreed to, and anything discussed outside this record is not part of the agreement. Payment is settled directly between the employer and the guardian: SphereUs never collects, holds or forwards gig money, and the employer pays the guardian by the method the guardian chose. The platform records what was earned and what was paid and both sides can see that record, but recording a payment is not the same as handling one. Approving this gig confirms the student is permitted to do this work at their age under the labor rules for their state, that the work site has been cleared by both the guardian and the employer, and that the supervision and safety arrangements on this gig are the ones the guardian agreed to. For ages 16–17 approval may be given as notification rather than a held gate; the guardian still contracts on the student's behalf either way. The employer must never ask the student to work outside what is recorded here, and the guardian may withdraw approval before the work begins. Hours and skills are recorded toward the student's training and work history whether or not any money changes hands. A problem is raised through SphereUs Support, which records what was agreed and may restrict an account, but does not act as an arbiter.
